My Thoughts:
Holy Stable is a wonderful little book in a 2 piece set. There's the book that has the nativity story in verse and song that can be used as part of a pageant, a children's play or as part of your family's Advent Tradition. The accompanying narrated CD includes several different tracks opening with the pageant vocals and instrumentals (harp, violin and wooden flute) and ending with the instruments only which you can use during the pageant itself, during readings and rehearsals.
I was just thinking it would be neat to break it up for an evening service at church. You could have the women read the angels portions and men reading the human parts - or you could include parts from scripture with Mary and Joseph reading those aloud and the congregation splitting parts between the men and women.
This little book would be great as a hostess gift or as a gift for teachers, pastors, families or to put in a gift basket or Christmas card to share the Christmas story.
One other thing I wanted to comment on is the beautiful illustrations in the book. The illustrations compliment the story itself and the details really stand out to show the care and importance in the Christmas Story and the tremendous gift God gave us in the birth of Jesus.
