Book Review/Giveaway: The Polar Express 25 years of Magic!

This giveaway is Closed.
Winner will be announced tomorrow - thanks for joining in!

This year The Polar Express celebrates 25 years of magic!  Most of us know the movie staring Tom Hanks and those cute kids on that great big black train.  The hot chocolate scene is one of my favorites.  I think I got through most of the movie before I even realized that Tom Hanks did most of the characters - and that only adds to the magic.

Now, the book is somewhat different than the movie.  The kids and conductor all look the same, but the story itself is different.  Certain scenes from the movie were added (not in the book) but I think for a movie with additional scenes that the story itself wasn't ruined but only added to the excitement and suspense.

PhotobucketBook Summary:
One Christmas Eve many years ago, a boy lies in bed, listening hard for the bells of Santa's sleigh, which he had been told by a friend do not exist.  Later that night he hears not bells but a very different sound.  He looks out his window and is astounded to see a steam engine parked in front of his house!  The conductor invites him to board the Polar Express, a train filled with children on their way to the North Pole.
